A Letter From the Principal...

September 14, 2017

Dear St. Constance School Families,

Please join us for the opening Family Mass this Sunday, September 17th at 10:30 a.m. as we celebrate Catechetical Sunday. Catechists from both the School and Religious Education Program will be commissioned at this Liturgy. A reception hosted by the Home and School Association will follow immediately in Borowczyk Hall. We hope that you will be able to join us.

You are also cordially invited to join the students in Grades K-8 at the weekly 8:00 a.m. Mass next Wednesday, September 20th.

As the month of October is fast approaching, I would also like to extend an invitation for you to join us as we pray the Rosary on Tuesdays at 12:45 p.m. Please note that the final rosary of the month will be prayed on Monday, October 30 at 12:45 p.m.

As you know, this coming Saturday, September 16, 2017 is our School Board sponsored My School Color Run/Walk Fundraiser. This is an exciting new program that will help create awareness for healthy living, raise funds, and is sure to be fun. I hope to see you there.

Mark your calendars for the annual Parish Dinner Dance to be held on Saturday, October 28, 2017 in the Handzel Center. Join us for an evening of fun while supporting the parish. Make sure to reserve your seat and try your luck in the raffle. Please watch for further information.

All are invited to join in the Archdiocese of Chicago and Catholic Charities new initiative, the Soup-er Stadium Challenge in an effort to help eliminate hunger in our community. The goal is to collect enough food to fill every seat in Soldier Field twice. This collection will provide over 100,000 meals to those in need. If you would like to participate in the Challenge, please have your child bring in his/her donation to school beginning now through Friday, October 6. If you choose to make an online donation, please visit SouperStadiumChallenge.org.

Once again, I am asking for everyone’s cooperation. In a previous correspondence I shared with you that several of our students have severe allergies to peanuts/peanut butter/tree nuts. I am asking that our entire school family assist me in keeping our children healthy by NOT sending food products containing peanuts to school. As I recognize this may be an inconvenience, I am sure you understand the seriousness of this matter. Thank you for your understanding.

This is to remind you that Van Gogh Photographers will be here to take student pictures next Tuesday, September 19th. Please note that this is a pre-pay program and orders/payment need to be returned by picture day. This will be an out-of uniform day for all students.

This is also a reminder for any new and interested parties, that there will be a Band recruitment meeting next Monday evening, September 18th at 7:00 p.m. in Borowczyk Hall. Please enter through the Ainslie Street doors.

This week our thanks are extended to Geri and Wally Henning for donating (2) file cabinets and an assortment of raffle prizes, Sr. Kinga for donating a Disney Game for a monthly Box Top winner, Mr. Teuber for donating a Sharper Image Electronic Toy raffle prize, and the Kisielewski Family for donating an assortment of books and raffle prize. Thank you to all for their thoughtfulness.

The office staff would also like to extend a warm thank you to Grandma Meyer for the delicious treats shared with us.

Finally, as you know, our best form of marketing is word of mouth. Please invite others to join our school community by spreading the word! Please keep in mind that if you are the named referral family for a new registration, you will receive a $250.00 tuition reduction for your efforts as a token of our appreciation.

Have a pleasant weekend!

Sincerely,

Eva M. Panczyk
Principal
